2025 Jeep Wagoneer S Limited EV First Look: 100 HP of Launch Separation

2025 Jeep Wagoneer S Limited EV 5The 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S EV’s new Limited trim gets a new colorway, but seemingly less power than the Launch Edition.

Now that the special, first-model-year-only Launch Edition is out of the way, we can get a better idea of the true value of the new Jeep Wagoneer S midsize electric SUV in its new-for-2025 Limited trim. Does this EV match up to competition from GM, Ford, and Tesla, or does Stellantis and Jeep need to go back to the drawing board?

Less Power! Sort Of!

The 2024 Wagoneer S Launch Edition EV came with 600 horsepower and 617 lb-ft of torque; power figures for the new Limited model aren’t listed, but the news release does mention that up to 600 hp can be “unlocked” on the Limited trim with an optional Over-the-Air extra called the “Propulsion Boost Package,” so performance must be slightly less than the Launch Edition for the Limited models. We reached out to Jeep for clarity on the Limited’s performance, and a spokesperson confirmed the Limited trim comes standard with 500 hp and 520 lb-ft of torque.

The Limited trim introduces a new Hydro Blue exterior paint job option, and a new Arctic Grey interior colorway (the Launch version offered red and black options). The front passenger screen is still optional, offering up to a total of 45 inches of screen real estate in the front row. There are 170 standard safety and security features (not listed out), including Drowsy Driver Alert, and the Limited also still gets the Selec-Terrain traction control system with Auto, Sport, Snow, Sand, and Eco driving modes available.

Other than that, the Limited can be distinguished by a black contrasting roof and mirror caps, low-profile badging, dual panoramic sunroof, 10-way heated front seating, and 20-inch machined aluminum wheels. Other options include a 920-watt McIntosh audio setup and an Obsidian Appearance pack, which will be available a little later.

2025 Jeep Wagoneer S Pricing

Pricing will start at $66,995 including destination and before any local, state, or federal incentives. By comparison, the Launch edition of the newly redesigned Tesla Model Y starts at $60,000, and a Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally starts under $56,000 before incentives, so the Jeep will come at a premium compared to its competitors.
