The Appeal

In the ’60s and ’70s, the Pontiac GTO was one of the reigning kings of the American muscle car circuit. Powerful performance, purchased in tandem with the return of the company’s streamlined ethos that had made them so esteemed in the 40s and 50s – albeit, of course, styled more into an aggressive fastback than a curvy bull-nosed machine. There was truly nothing subtle in these machines – everything was pumped up to the nines and laden with a real period glitz. This fabulous example comes to us in an enviable colour scheme and factory specification – well-documented and well-presented, with plenty of period character. It’s a matching numbers, exceedingly handsome car that boasts much of its factory features and that gas-guzzling, burbling V8 stuffed under its sculpted, vented bonnet.

Stowed with an exemplary paperwork file, we’ve no doubt this impressive chunk of pure Americana will turn plenty of heads.
